Atlanta DJs Faust & Shortee tie the know over 1200s

Tag-team turntablists Faust and Shortee have performed together all over the world. But in early September, the pair gave a (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime performance at the alter. Bobby Bruno (Faust), 28, and Shannon Burke (Shortee), 25, were married in an intimate private ceremony in the courtyard of the Crescent Room, a subterranean deep-house hotspot in Atlanta. Their wedding was anything but routine. At the altar, Rev. Gary McCullen oversaw the wedding vows while Shortee pulled out notebook pages to tell her story since meeting the “cute skinny boy scratching records with his elbows.” Wedding DJ Z-Trip picked combinations — Bob James, Steely Dan and a traditional wedding recessional over a Timbaland skitter—for the ceremony. But while it was Mr. & Mrs. Bruno’s special day, Faust and Shortee still made an appearance, not only cutting the cake but cutting the records, performing a commemorative routine in “holy scratchimony” before opening the turntables to family and friends.
